Drivers Championship

Hardcore sprint racing at it’s best.

The Drivers Championship is a very special one off event at the end of each season. It is hosted after final race day of the Premier Championship.

Forget about being team mates for a moment; it’s every driver for themselves as they do battle on the race track over a series of incredibly intense hardcore sprint racing. For many drivers, it’s the highlight of the year!

The Drivers Championship will take place at Llandow on Saturday 24th April 2027.

THE CLASSES

There are 2 classes and 1 sub class in the Drivers Championship:

Lightweights (78kg)
Heavyweights (90kg)
Graduates Sub Class in each class

THE FORMATS

Both classes will be running the following format at a cost of £165 per driver:

3 x 7minute heats (3 laps practice prior to first heat)
10 minute final

With a Super Final to conclude!

The Karts

The karts used in the BUKC are simply the finest fleet of “arrive-and-drive” karts in the world. They are nothing like the normal indoor or outdoor karts that many are used to.

This is a proper racing fleet, powered by a specially tuned Rotax Max Evo 125cc 2-stroke engine capable of producing 22hp and which can accelerate from 5 to 60mph in 4.5 seconds. If you have never been in a “2-stroke” kart before, you’ll never forget your first time!
