G2GYG | BUKC 2017 Rounds 5 & 6

BUKC Rookies Championship Round 3, and our Premier and Intermediate Championship Rounds 5 and 6 of 2017 were contested at Glan y Gors circuit in North Wales this month, and for the first time this year, we held our Rookies round the day before the main championship. This, coupled with the abnormally decent weather, caused no end of confusion, so Jacob Harris is here to clear things up for those still wondering what actually happened…

A 24hr finale at Teesside!

First of all, we have a slight apology to make. In our event documentation and on the BUKC site, we boldly claimed that there would be ‘Amazing weather (guaranteed)’. The wet start to the race and the subsequent monsoon (those out on circuit will confirm that’s what it felt like) around hour 3 of the race had us feeling rather sheepish at our clear lack of ability to control the weather. We’re working on it!

What a weekend in Wales | BUKC 2015 Rounds 5 & 6

£6.50 is a ridiculous toll charge for anywhere, never mind to enter a slightly different part of our own country. But, for those of us blessed (cursed?) with living in the southern part of our island, it was the price we had to pay for two days of intense racing from Rounds 5 & 6 of the British Universities Karting Championship 2015 at Llandow Kart Circuit, just west of Cardiff in Wales.
